A couple of days ago i started to get a sharp pain in my lower right side of my back it only lasted a few minutes and then went away. Yesterday I started having the same sharp pain but, a little worse by the end of the day the pain had escalated and this morning it is a dull pain. For the past couple of weeks I've had the sweats and chills but, gave it no thought, as I am of menopause age. Should I seek medical attention and could you possible give me an explanation as to what it might be.

This am was horrible, as I was trying to get ready for work, i started to develop this severe pain to my mid lower left back, like I had when I had Kidney stones before. When I got to the ER, they gave me medication and checked my blood, urine and did a CT of my abdomen. The MD came back and told me that it was just constipation. he gave me golytely and sent me home. well, the pain is still there, even more now then ever. what should i do?

after surgery last may in which my left kidney was knocked, it failed completely. I have had x2 stents, or tubes and told all is well and working, despite the pain i feel. I still have pain in my left kidney, and feel confused, tired, sometimes numb, just generally not well. is this pain normal, will it go, and what of my propects?

After a bladder operation last May, my left kidney was accidentally knocked during surgery. It failed completely and after x2 (stents) or tubes over several months the kidney is working and i was released.

I have dealt with extreme pain in my right kidney and excessive urination during the day and all night. I have been dealing with this for nearly 5 years now and can't seem to get any answers. Bladder infections, UTIs and stones have all been ruled out, and the only recent possibility is Diabetes Insipidus. However, but I can't seem to find the link between my extreme pain and the Diabetes Insipidus. Any help here???

A few years ago I hurt my back at work and had to have surgery to correct a problem with the bottom two disks. Since then an occasional twinge but no serious problems. Well, last week I went and played nine holes of golf with my father-in-law and my wife, then I went and played four games of bowling with my in-laws, then I went to cut my mother's grass. The next day, my lower back was so sore that it was difficult for me to even get out of a chair without help. That pain got better after a day or two, but the area in which my kidneys are located still causes me discomfort. The left side is worst than the right. I don't know for sure if it is the kidneys. Only that the pain is where the kidneys are located. Any suggestions?

For three days now I have had pain in the right kidney area but do not have any bladder infection symptoms. The pain seems to be getting worse, and, sometimes, after sitting down for a period of time, getting up is excruciating. Any help here? Thank you. Maggie
